We aim to build community in Wisconsin for all things jigsaw puzzles.

President

Dakota has always enjoyed doing puzzling and recently fell into speed puzzling and went full steam ahead. They are very excited about growing the puzzling community within Wisconsin and creating a one place stop for all things puzzling within the State. Dakota lives in Fitchburg with their partner and two amazing dogs, Oliver and Warren.

Treasurer

Tim has had a passion for puzzles since childhood, with fond memories of spending time with his grandmother, hunting for puzzles at thrift stores. Although he’s always been a puzzler, Tim recently discovered speed puzzling and quickly became hooked on the sport. Outside of puzzling, he enjoys traveling, playing pinball, and exploring the latest board games. Tim lives in Appleton with his wife, kids, and dog.

Secretary

Kabao has always had a passion for the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a jigsaw puzzle. When she’s not working or spending time with her family, you can often find her enjoying the peaceful challenge of puzzles or exploring the outdoors with her dogs, Toto and Snickers. Kabao lives in Sheboygan, WI, with her husband.

Director

Puzzling has always offered Erin a quiet space to be present and reflect, but in 2022, when she discovered speed puzzling, the love of puzzling only grew. After founding and developing a strong community in her previous state that encompassed all aspects of puzzling, she is now looking to strengthen puzzle connections throughout the state. She lives in Plover with her spouse and small zoo (3 dogs and 4 cats).

Growing up, JoAnna spent countless hours working on puzzles with her grandmother, creating a space for family bonding and connection. She has always appreciated how puzzles bring people together, whether through shared stories or the simple joy of finding that missing piece. Now, she is a proud cat lady living in Port Washington with her boyfriend and their three cats.

A self-proclaimed “average” puzzler, Jess is an advocate for all things casual puzzling! She loves helping to create fun, welcoming spaces for puzzlers of all experience levels. As a member of WI-JPA, Jess is excited to help expand the organization’s casual puzzling community while continuing to support the growing speed puzzling scene. She is based in Madison with her husband and dog, Tesla.

Director

Julie is new to puzzling and enjoying the mental challenge and stress relief. She recently retired after a career in Human Resources. Originally from the Twin Cities area, she has lived in Milwaukee and been married for 30 years and enjoys spending time with her two daughters, walking the dog, and pursuing hobbies including jigsaw puzzles, hiking, and traveling.

Director

Growing up, Rachel made fond memories of sitting beside her mother and grandmother puzzling on family vacations. Rachel participated in her first team speed puzzling competition in 2024 and fell in love with the challenge and camaraderie. She's excited to encourage casual and speed puzzlers throughout the state. Rachel lives in Milwaukee with their husband and two goofy dogs, Ted and Chase.
